Pastoral Supervision

The Royal Commission into Institutional Response to Child Sexual Abuse Recommendation 16.45 states

Each religious institution should ensure that all people in religious or pastoral ministry, including religious leaders, have professional supervision with a trained professional or pastoral supervisor who has a degree of independence from the institution within which the person is in ministry.

As a response to this Religious denominations are progressively aligning themselves to the recommendations and are requiring their Pastoral Staff to undertake professional supervision. This aligns them with all other helping professions such as counselors, psychologists, medical etc.

I am qualified with my Graduate Certificate of Professional Supervision and am registered as part of AAOS (Australian Association of Supervision).
